The Calliope Ensemble was founded in 2000 as an instrumental trio, with the aim of promoting the original repertoire for oboe, horn and piano from the Romantic period. Thanks to its collaboration with 20th-century composers, the trio subsequently broadened its horizons to include in its programmes fine transcriptions by leading 20th-century composers.

The season finale, with this fourth concert, is aimed at the general public, offering a true spectacle of music and narration, with famous pieces bidding farewell and saying goodbye to the summer concerts in the villa.
